About Luci
Roots
Books and editorial have been an integral part of my life since childhood. In Brazil, I spent Sundays at the Banca de Jornal reading Turma da Mônica comics and colouring O Palhacinho Alegria. By my teenage years, before the Internet and Spotify, we would rely on magazines, books and wait for music albums to be released and arrive at the stores. At that time, I was leading a Bon Jovi fan club, creating fanzines with friends, and mailing them off with great excitement.
Creativity runs in my family. My grandmother sewed, my mother painted and embroidered, and their hands taught me that art and care belong together. I carried that legacy through every season of my life, from tutoring math at 14 years old to tutoring physics in high school, from building websites at the university to working as a software developer, becoming a mother and making art through The Cardinal Atelier.
I have always been drawn to stories, the way they connect people, reveal hidden truths, and bring meaning to small moments. Design became my way of telling those stories visually.
